Mt. Pleasant Builder to Lead MAHB PDF Print E-mail

Colin Herren of Mt. Pleasant has been elected as President of the Michigan Association of Home Builders (MAHB). MAHB officers that will serve a one-year term starting December 1, 2011 are:

 

  • President – Colin Herren – HBA of Central Michigan;
  • First Vice President – Clyde Alcox – Greater Lansing HBA;
  • Treasurer – Rich Kogelschatz – HBA of Greater Grand Rapids;
  • Secretary – Bill Benedetto – HBA of Jackson.
  • Associate Senior Officer – Anthony Bosco – HBA of Saginaw
  • Immediate Past President – Dan MacLeish – BIA of Southeastern Michigan.
Colin Herren (Mt. Pleasant) has been very active in the Home Builders Association of Central Michigan, serving as an officer for 13 years. After working for a local builder during his high school years, he eventually started his own business, B.C. Builders. Herren later merged with fellow builder Mark Greenwald in 1999 to form Greenwald & BC, Inc, which offers a full line of carpentry services for both residential and commercial projects.

Clyde Alcox (Lansing) has been a MAHB member for more than three decades and is a life director of the organization. He has also been a partner at A&D Development for 28 years. Alcox is a past president of the Greater Lansing Home Builders Association and a senior life director of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Rich Kogelschatz (Grand Rapids) of Heartland Builders, LLC., Rockford is an active member in the home-building industry. In addition to MAHB, he is also a director of Green Built Michigan, Immediate Past President for the Board of Directors for the Home and Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids and a National Director for the NAHB.

Bill Benedetto (Jackson) has been a member of the Home Builders Association of Jackson (HBAJ) for over 20 years. During that time, he has been active on many committees and on the Board of Directors, serving as HBAJ president in 1999 and 2000. He continues his service as a Local Life Director, and is also a Life Director for the MAHB and the NAHB.

Anthony Bosco (Saginaw) of Thermo-Tech Premium Windows & Doors in Freeland, Michigan has been active in the Home Builders Association of Saginaw for many years, serving on the HBA Board of Directors for six years.  Bosco received the Saginaw HBA’s Distinguished Service Award in 1997-1998, the Associate of the Year Award in 2001, and the 2009 Bill Polley BUILD-PAC Award. He was also a member of the MAHB Board of Directors for 11 years, and was inducted into the NAHB Society of Honored Associates in 2007. 

Daniel MacLeish (Troy) is a 47-year veteran of the industry. He is the owner of MacLeish Building in Troy, which specializes in custom residential and high-end production residential. He is also a developer of commercial and residential projects in southeastern Michigan.
